OUR AUTHORS & ARTISTS
J. S. NORSTEIN
Joshua Norstein is a 35 year old indie author and illustrator. He briefly studied sequential art and illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA, but dropped out after a year because despite being a fairly gifted artist, he was a terrible student.
He has since taken measures to correct his academic incompetence. Presently, he works as a janitor at a prestigious private liberal arts college in Poughkeepsie, NY, known historically for its creative writing program, because: irony, while pursuing his Bachelor’s in Computer Science from SUNY Empire State University.
Mr. Norstein has always loved stories, poetry, and the power words can have to shape the world around us. He first learned to read on a Graeme Base illustrated rendition of Lewis Carroll’s Jabberwocky, and moved promptly on to Douglas Adams’ Hitchhikers Guide series, which probably explains a lot.
Lastly, Mr. Norstein would like his fans to know that while photos of him are very likely easily accessible on the internet, he does not intend to provide one to accompany his works here:
“I may or may not bear a striking resemblance to at least one of the main characters in my FREELANCE HEROES INCORPORATED series. In the interest of suspension of disbelief, and not being labeled a shameless, wish fulfillment-driven story self-inserter, let my readers decide for themselves who I am, not by virtue of any photograph, but by the impact of my words.”
